White House Poetry Revival

This weeks guest is Alan Garvey.

Alan Garvey is an Arts administrator and part-time lecturer, he has been published in various magazines and anthologies. He has received grants from the Arts Council in order to travel to Toronto, Newfoundland and Budapest; and has given readings around the country. He lives in Carlow with his wife, Tara and son, Keir, where he is one of the founding members of the Pygmalion Writers’ Group. His first collection, Herself in Air (2006), was published by Lapwing Publications, Belfast. His second, Learning To Crawl (also on Lapwing) was published earlier this year. He has just submitted his MA in Creative Writing thesis for which he studied in WIT, and returned from Budapest where he was working on a new series of poems.
