Call For Poetry Submissions

New Publication to be Launched by White House Poets

Three years after they began the now famous weekly White House Poetry Revival readings at the White House bar in Limerick City and one year after the publication of Microphone On - an anthology of poetry read at the White House, the White House Poets announce plans to publish a quarterly poetry journal dedicated to publishing the best of new contemporary poetry from local, national and international poets.

The publication, echoing the Revival readings, is to be called 'Revival' and will provide a platform for poets, both published and unpublished, to have their work published in a quality journal. The first issue is due out in October 2006 and will be launched at Cuisle - Limerick City International Poetry Festival.

Dominic Taylor, the editor of 'Revival', said that he believed the White House Poets were again furthering the cause of poetry in Limerick by bringing out this new publication and he was especially pleased that they have secured the financial backing of Limerick City Council for it.

Submissions are now being accepted for 'Revival' and submission guidelines can be seen at http://revivalpoetrybook.blogspot.com/
or contact the White House Poets at whitehousepoets@eircom.net or phone 087 2996409.
